Who I am!
Queer and proud!
Growing up in a rural suburb of Springfield Missouri, art was always a point of connection with me and others. My father, who is and will always be an inspiration of mine, was a working graphic designer, and getting introduced to the world of creativity was also a source of bonding between us. I’d say my greatest strength as an artist is my capacity to learn and evolve alongside projects I’ve received. Every project I’ve been handed is a new way to discover a facet of art I possibly hadn’t tapped into yet before.
Art continued to be a source of peace in a hectic day, and so I found it invading it’s way into all of my hobbies. a love of old pop art images and vintage comics aided in making my style more experimental, with bolder color choices, and a discovered love of halftones, a love of cartoons and reading bolstered an already powerful imagination, and a love for art deco and renaissance paintings and illustrations gave way for a deep focus on portraiture and expression through the human form.
